The Lymm Runners Santa Dash is now an established fixture in the Lymm Dickensian Day celebration. Running, jogging and power walking Santas open the parade in a colourful flash of red and white. Now in its 11th year, the Santa Dash fun run creates a buzz at the start of the procession. The route goes through the village to the applause from the crowds who line the pavements each year to support this long-established event.
Entry is open to Fun Runners aged 8+ capable of completing the 5km course.
The Dash starts outside Brookfield Surgery on the canal bridge, and all Santas will lead off the main DICKENSIAN DAY procession. Dashing down Eagle Brow and through the heart of the village, it’s a real experience! It is a Fun Run rather than a race, so you are encouraged to take your time and savour the special atmosphere for a unique run experience.
You will be given a special Lymm Runners Santa Dash Suit as part of your entry fee, so everyone will be dressed for the occasion. The route can be viewed on our MAP MY RUN link. The finish line is at Sow Brook, where you will receive your finisher's souvenir; it is a short walk from there back to the village to take part in the rest of the Dickensian Day festivities.

Keeping in the spirit of Dickensian Day, all proceeds from the Lymm Runners Santa Dash will help fund sports equipment donations to the local Lymm Primary Schools. The aim is to support and help in the development of junior running and fitness in the local community. We have donated a bag full of training kit to Cherry Tree & Statham Primary Schools, supplied race uniform for Cherry Tree & Oughtrington Primary School Cross Country Teams and provided sports play equipment to Little Bollington CP School, amongst other grants.

We provide refunds less a 10% admin fee, up to one week before the event (ie 2359 on Sat 7 Dec 2024). Places can be transferred to another runner up to one week before the event (ie 2359 on 7 Dec 2024).
