The Warrington Way is a 40 mile circular multi-terrain race
in Cheshire, circumnavigating the town of Warrington.
It starts and finishes in the village of Lymm
to the east of Warrington, and goes anticlockwise around the town. Most of the Way is off-road, on footpaths,
field crossings, farm tracks, canal towpaths and the like but there are some
sections on road and some major road crossings to be aware of. Much of the route is in the Cheshire
countryside but the Way takes in the area’s industrial and transport heritage –
including crossing the Bridgewater Canal, the Manchester Ship Canal, the St
Helens Canal, and the River Mersey; the West Coast mainline and Liverpool to
Manchester mainline railways; and the M6, M62, and M56 motorways! It is open to solo runners (doing the whole
distance); pairs (each doing 20 miles) and to 4 person relay teams (with each person doing one 10 mile
stage). Entry costs just £35 for solo
runners, £45 for pairs and £55 for relay teams and includes a medal at the end for finishers only (you'll
have earned it!). Please note that the prices below show the amount with non-UKA affiliated supplement added - it will be deducted as appropriate during the entry process. Warrington Way T-shirts and
hoodies will be available to purchase on the day of the race from 12
noon onwards (they cannot be ordered in advance) subject to
availability. Payments by credit/debit
card. Drinks/food are
provided at the three checkpoints (10 miles, 20 miles and 30 miles); hot and
cold drinks and a hot meal are provided at the finish. For much more information including

We allow cancellations with refunds less a 10% admin fee up to six weeks before the event (ie to 10 October 2026), and also place transfers and changes to pairs/relay team members at no cost up to one week before the event (ie to 7 November 2026).
